Corsica is a mountain in the sea. The highest peak is Monte Cinto (2 710 m).
Its astonishing scenery, its almost unreal colours, the smells of the scrub, its non-stop sunshine and the traditions it has preserved make it a popular destination.A wide choice of hikes and walks will allow you to explore this land of contrasts. Hiking is the main activity. Follow the mythical GR 20, a hiking trail that crosses Corsica and its different mountain ranges. Visit too the Parc naturel régional de Corse, a nature reserve created in 1972, which today covers more than a third of the island, with an area of 350,510 hectares. Its flora and fauna include some threatened species. A “must” for all nature lovers.Access: Car ferries to Ajaccio, Bastia, Ile Rousse and Calvi.By plane: Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi and Figari airports.
