"Natural” cosmetic products which take care of us!

The country of fashion and perfumes, France can also be proud of its cosmetics tradition and know-how. For decades, the number of creators of creams, lotions and balms made from natural products has increased. Some of them have become specialized and are leaning towards new innovations which have made their trademark. Sold in beauty salons or in specialist shops, these “French-style” cosmetics are available in new varieties… with spices, sea salt, flowers: everyone will find a product that suits them!

Where can they be purchased?
In general these products can be purchased in beauty salons or in specialist shops. But French chemist’s shops advise customers and also offer some of these products in their toiletries section. Perfumery chains such as Sephora, Marionnaud, Nocibé or Douglas boast a wide range of body care products that are more economically priced. In the same way, department stores such as Galerie Lafayette, Printemps and Le Bon Marché have areas that are devoted to cosmetics grouping together all of the major brands. It should be noted that recently the Monoprix supermarket chain has developed a “beauty” section in its shops. It is easy to pick up a bargain!

Care product pioneers… Académie: more than 80 years of research (Ile de France, Paris).
Since 1926, this family-run company has been creating skin and body care products. Simone Mahler created her brand in the 1940s. The pharmacist Ella Baché began her career in the 1930s with her renowned Tomato Cream.
